The international tribunal
Lebanon's parliament majority leader Saad Hariri welcomed the U.N. vote on Wednesday to set up the international tribunal that would try the suspected assassins of his father, former PM Rafik Hariri. Qassam
Israeli aircraft attacked two Palestinian Qassam rocket launchers in northern Gaza on Thursday morning. One of the sites hit was used earlier in the day to launch a Qassam towards Israel, the rocket landed in an open area in the western Negev. Palestinian terror groups launched a Qassam rocket from northern Gaza Thursday morning, the rocket landed near a kibbutz in the western Negev. No injuries were reported however a fire broke out at impact site.(08,56)

The Quartet
The Quartet of Middle East mediators harshly condemned the continued Qassam attacks on Israel on Thursday, as well as the build-up of arms by Hamas and other terror groups in the Gaza Strip, a statement released by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said. U.N. Security Council /Rafik Hariri
U.N. Security Council approved a resolution Wednesday to unilaterally establish an international tribunal to prosecute suspects in the assassination of Lebanon's. The resolution gives the Lebanese parliament a last chance to establish the tribunal itself. Lebanon's pro-West Prime Minister Fuad Saniora asked the council earlier this month to establish the tribunal. U.N. Security Council calls for end to Qassam fire
UN Security Council issued a statement to the press Wednesday calling on the Palestinians to put an end to the Qassam attacks against Israel. Today, the security cabinet voted in favor of stepping up Israel's military pressure on terror groups responsible for the firing of rockets from the Gaza Strip towards Israel. Labor party -first round
Ehud Barak won the of the battle for the Labor party chairmanship. As of 5 a.m. Tuesday, with all votes tallied, he led Ami Ayalon 35.6% to 30.6 percent. A run-off between the two will be held on June 12. Amir Peretz, the current chairman, came in far behind, with 22.4% of the votes. The other two candidates, Ophir Pines-Paz and Danny Yatom, had slighting more than 10% of votes combined.(07,01)

At least 14 rockets land in western Negev
Missile count from Gaza climbs Monday to 14, one injuring an Israeli, the day after Oshri Oz was killed in his car. The last two landed north of Sderot and set a cornfield on fire, another near the Eretz crossing.
