Syrian FM Walid al-Mualem,discuss regional summit
Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Mualem is expected to arrive in Amman Sunday for a few-hour visit, according to Damascus sources for the London-based Arabic newspaper "Al Hayat." Al-Mualem will meet with King Abdullah as well as his Jordanian counterpart, FM Sallah al-Din al-Bashir and to discuss strengthening ties between the two countries, the situation in Lebanon, and convening a five-way conference with the participation of Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the Palestinians.(18,38)
