Palestinians urged to hold rallies for Hamas-Fatah unity
Palestinians have been urged to hold mass rallies in the West Bank and Gaza Strip on Tuesday as part of a campaign aimed at exerting pressure on Hamas and Fatah to end their dispute. Saudis send troops to Bahrain; Shi'ites call it 'war'
Saudi Arabia sent troops into Bahrain on Monday to help put down weeks of protests by the Shi'ite Muslim majority, a move opponents of the Sunni ruling family on the island called a declaration of war. UN: Iran has intensified crackdown, executions
Iran has intensified its crackdown on opponents as well as executions of drug traffickers, political prisoners and juvenile criminals, the United Nations said on Monday. Barak warns of 'diplomatic tsunami' in six months
Defense Minister Ehud Barak has warned that a diplomatic tsunami could hit Israel in six months.
