Turkel requests material on alleged warfare violations
The Turkel Committee tasked with probing last year's IDF raid on the Gaza-bound flotilla appealed to the military advocate general on Monday in a request to review some 50 cases related to suspected violations of laws of war, which involved the death or injury of passengers on board the Marmara. Peres: Abbas - best Palestinian president ever
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas "is the best president Israel could have gotten," President Shimon Peres said at a Rosh Hashana toast Monday.
