Counter Terror Bureau urges Israelis to leave the Sinai immediately
The National Security Council Counter-Terrorism Bureau has reiterated the severe travel warning regarding the Sinai Peninsula. IN a statement the bureau said it has information according to which terrorist organizations are continuing to work vigorously toward perpetrating attacks against Israeli tourists on the Sinai beaches. Merkel ally says Islam not part of Germany
Head of German Chancellor Angela Merkel's conservative bloc in parliament, Volker Kauder, told the Passauer Neue Presse on Thursday that "Islam is not part of our tradition and identity in Germany and so does not belong to Germany." Israel marks Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes Remembrance Day
Israel on Thursday marked Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes Remembrance day. AT 10 a.m, a siren will be sounded, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem. In the Knesset, a public recitation of Holocaust victims' names will take place, in the ceremony "Unto Every Person There is a Name." IDF chief Gantz: Israel can handle all enemies
"The Shoah was the darkest period in the history of mankind and Judaism," IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz said on Monday, "But we mustn't forget that even before (the Holocaust) and after it there were those who sought to erase Jacob's descendents from the face of the planet." Fly-in activists instructed to protest at int'l airports
The pro-Palestinian "flytilla" may well prove to be much smaller than planned, as many activists were banned from boarding flights to Israel on Saturday. The largest group of activists was meant to arrive from France. They were instructed to arrive at the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris at 5 am on Sunday.
