US warns Syria not to transfer weapons to Hezbollah

          The White House on Thursday warned Syria not to transfer weapons to Hezbollah, as tensions mounted following reported Israeli raids on a military research center and a weapons convoy. Syria: Israel attacked military research center

        Israeli warplanes attacked a military research center in Damascus province at dawn on Wednesday, Syria's military command said, denying reports that the planes had struck a convoy carrying weapons from Syria to Lebanon. News agency quotes US and regional security officials as saying Israel conducted airstrike inside Syria

       Israel conducted an airstrike inside Syria overnight near the border with Lebanon, hitting a convoy of trucks, US and regional officials said Wednesday. The regional officials said Israel had been planning in the days leading up to the airstrike to hit a shipment of weapons bound for Hezbollah in Lebanon. Israel agrees to transfer 100 million dollars in taxes collected for PA

     Israel has agreed to a one-time transfer of some 100 million dollars to the Palestinian Authority -- tax revenues it collected on its behalf last month -- because of economic hardship there. About two months ago, Israel froze the transfer of the tax moneys in response to the Palestinian appeal for a status upgrade at the United Nations.

Israel boycotts UN Human Rights Council review

            Israel on Tuesday became the first country to skip a United Nations review of its human rights record without giving a reason, and then won a precedent-setting deferral. IAF chief warns against complacency on Syria

     IAF Chief Maj.-Gen. PA asks international community to help release tax funds held by Israel

        The Palestinian Authority is seeking international help in pressing Israel to release tax funds it collects on its behalf.
