Israel: No Gaza truce deal, calm will be met with calm

IDF attacks numerous terror targets in Gaza in response to rocket fire

The IDF responded with force to a barrage of at least 60 rockets fired from the Gaza Strip at the Israeli south on Wednesday, striking dozens of terror targets from the air and with artillery fire. Thirty-one Islamic Jihad and Hamas targets have been hit all across the Gaza Strip - two in an IDF artillery strike and 29 more in an Israel Air Force strike later on in the evening. Egypt says it destroyed 1,370 Gaza smuggling tunnels

Egypt's military said Wednesday it has destroyed 1,370 smuggling tunnels under its border with the Gaza Strip, as Cairo's ties remain sour with the Hamas movement that rules the Palestinian enclave.Ties took a turn for the worse after the military's July ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi, who belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood, with which Hamas is affiliated. Israeli naval forces seize ship carrying Iranian rockets bound for Gaza

The Israeli navy overnight Tuesday seized a ship in the Red Sea carrying an Iranian shipment of advanced rockets bound for the Gaza Strip. The IDF said the ship, the Panamanian-flagged Klos C, was carrying Syrian-made M-302 rockets with a range of up to 200 kilometers. The vessel was intercepted by Israeli naval commandoes in international waters more than 1,600 kilometers south of Israel, off of Sudan and Eritrea. IDF raises level of alert on Lebanese border following alleged strike
