Assad warns West: Interference in Syria will burn Mideast

          Syrian President Bashar Assad warned on Sunday that Western interference in his country could cause an "earthquake" that would "burn the whole region" and transform the country into "another Afghanistan." 11 rockets fired at southern Israel overnight, early Sunday

            At least 11 rockets and mortar shells were fired at southern Israel overnight and early Sunday morning as reports emerged of imminent cease-fire. Most of the projectiles landed in open territory while the Iron Dome system intercepted two Grad rockets fired at Ashdod. On Saturday, at least 27 rockets were fired at the south. 'Neighbor's car saved me'

           The state-mandated precautions have minimized the casualties and damage that could have been caused in the recent onslaught of rockets on the south, but several residents claimed that it were the unlikely coincidences that saved them. Gaza: 5 terrorists killed in IDF strike

            At least five terrorists were killed and 11 others were wounded Saturday after the Air Force struck an Islamic Jihad cell in the Gaza Strip Saturday, Palestinian sources said. One of those killed in the attack is a senior commander in the al-Quds Bridages, the Islamic Jihad's military wing. Hundreds of Tunisians protest over alleged fraud in first Arab Spring election

           About 400 people protested in the Tunisian capital on Tuesday, alleging that the Islamist Ennahda party and other groups had used fraud to win votes in Sunday's election. Palestinians: Lieberman's remarks are an explicit threat on Abbas' life
