Abbas /Al-Zawahri

     Palestinian Authority President, Mahmoud Abbas said today in Ramallah that he would not rule out new unity government talks with Hamas and left the door open to new coalition talks.The deputy leader of al-Qaida, Al-Zawahri, in a video broadcast on Al-Jazeera, attacked the proposal of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to hold early elections to resolve the contest between the Fatah and Hamas. Al-Zawahri, described Mahmoud Abbas as "America's man in Palestine" and said the only way was armed struggle."Any way other than holy war, will lead us only to loss and defeat." Also today, Abbas and Haniyeh called on the warring factions Hamas and Fatah to stop fighting in the Gaza. (21,01)
