      Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said on Saturday a unity government deal between Palestinian factions Fatah and Hamas did not satisfy the demands of the international community. American Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said at a joint press conference with Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in regard to the summit planned for Monday: "We would like for the parties at this summit to acknowledge international agreements based on a two state solution." Rice said that she expected to discuss this with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert." Unfortunately, before the formation of the future Palestinian government, the understandings do not meet the requirements of the international community," Livni said. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says this is an important time to advance the idea of a Palestinan state alongside state alongside Israel despite what she said were complications created by the emerging Palestinian government.
