Palestinians fired at least seven Kassam rockets from the Gaza Strip towards Israel on Wednesday. No one was hurt and no damage was caused. One Kassam exploded next to a community near Sderot, in the western Negev, setting off the city's rocket warning system. Another rocket landed in an agricultural field. Police and rescue services were looking for the landing sites of the other rockets. Two Kassam rockets fell south of Ashkelon. The IDF says the air force struck a group of Palestinian terrorists preparing to fire Kassam rockets from northern Gaza Wednesday afternoon, killing one of them and wounding two others. Military sources say soldiers identified the three gunmen preparing to fire rockets at Israel near the former settlement of Dugit. The air strike is the first time in months in which the IDF has targetted a rocket-launching squad.
