IAF strike kills three Palestinians in Gaza City
An Israel Air Force strike killed at least two Palestinian militants in Gaza City on Thursday evening. The strike came after the militants were detected firing a Qassam rocket at Israel. The IAF targeted a car in Gaza City after nightfall Thursday, killing three militants, a Palestinian hospital official and the Israeli military said. The car was obliterated by the blast, and rescue workers extracted a dismembered body. Hamas police officers kept people away from the car. Dr. Moaiya Hassanain of the Palestinian Health Ministry said three people were killed. Islamic Jihad said they were members of that militant group, but Palestinians identifying the bodies at the hospital said they belonged to the Fatah offshoot that fired rockets at the Israeli town of Sderot hours earlier, seriously wounding a woman. A few hours earlier, a Qassam fired from the Gaza Strip struck house in the western Negev town of Sderot. The impact of the strike moderately wounded a 40-year-old woman, who was taken to the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon for treatment. Two other people suffered from shock.(20,19)
