Pro-Israel rally in London

       "The rockets must stop - full stop," Israeli Ambassador to Britain Ron Prossor said Sunday afternoon, addressing pro-Israel demonstrators in London's Trafalgar Square, where some 5,000 people gathered to voice their support for the IDF's operation against Gaza terrorists. Alongside, a small group of about 100 people demonstrated against the operation. Britain's Jewish communal leadership had earlier stressed that the pro-Israel rallies in London and Manchester were going ahead, after a hoax e-mail was sent out suggesting that they had been canceled. Jewish officials reacted angrily to the e-mail, which was sent in the name of the Jewish leadership body, the Board of Deputies. Some 3,000 Israel supporters attended a simultaneous rally in Manchester. The rallies mark the first major pro-Israel events organized since the start of the IDF's operation in the Gaza Strip. (17,43)
