Lebanese Army & UNIFIL to increase cooperation
The Lebanese Army and the United Nations peacekeeping force in South Lebanon, UNIFIL, are to increase cooperation in the wake of the two incidents along the Lebanese border last week. The top commanders from the Lebanese Army and UNIFIL met to discuss the border crossing incident involving Lebanese civilians who crossed into Israel. They also discussed the large explosion of Hezbollah arms in the village Khirbet Salim. Lebanese and UNIFIL forces are continuing to investigate the incident, in which dozens of Lebanese prevented UNIFIL from approaching the area of the arms cache. (21,10)
