In Cyprus, Lebanese man suspected of planning attacks on Israeli tourists
A Cypriot court has extended the remand in custody of a 24-year-old man on suspicion of planning an attack on Israeli tourists. A police spokesman said the man was being investigated on charges relating to national security and terrorism. The man was arrested last week in Limassol. Cyprus radio reported the suspect is a Swedish passport holder of Lebanese origin and that documents and photographs were found in his possession detailing movements of Israelis on the island. Cypriot media reports said that Mossad agents were involved in the arrest or questioning of the suspect.
