PM Netanyahu: Hezbollah behind Burgas terror attack

Hezbollah was behind Wednesday's terror attack in Bulgaria, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said a day after an explosion ripped through a tour bus at an airport in the city of Burgas, killing five Israelis and a Bulgarian national. "It's time that all the world's countries speak the truth clearly and say that Iran is behind the wave of terror," the PM told a press conference Thursday afternoon. "A terror state should not have nuclear weapons. The most dangerous country in the world will have the most dangerous weapon on the face of the earth.Netanyahu thanked the Bulgarian authorities for their speedy response to the terror attack, saying it saved lives. "Bulgaria is a true friend of the State of Israel," he said. The Israeli premier said Iran and Hezbollah were conducting a global terror campaign. "Acts of terror were committed in Asia and Africa, as well as in North and South America. Iran and its protégé Hezbollah have operated in India, Thailand, Georgia, Greece, Cyprus and the United States," he said. Netanyahu vowed that Israel would continue to combat Iranian terror "with a lot of force," adding that the attack in Burgas targeted women and children on vacation only because they were Jewish. "We'll continue to chase after the culprits and exact a heavy price from them. Israel is a strong country," he declared. On Wednesday, just a few hours after the attack at Burgas' Sarafovo Airport, Netanyahu said "all the signs are pointing to Iran. Only in the past few months we've seen Iran try to target Israelis in Thailand, Indian, Georgia, Cyprus and more. "The murderous Iranian terror continues to target innocent people. Iranian terror is spreading worldwide...Israel will react to it with force," he said. Earlier Thursday, a military plane carrying 33 Israelis who were injured in the terror attack landed at Ben Gurion International Airport. The fatalities' identification process, headed by ZAKA, is still ongoing with the assistance of the Military Rabbinate.
