Isarel airstrike kills two Hamas terrorists in southern Gaza Strip
Israeli airforce planes hit targets in the southern Gaza Strip. Two Hamas operatives were reported killed in the strike which was witnesssed by an AFP photographer who said the rocket hit a car in Rafah. An IDF statement said the planes targeted two terror operatives affilated with the defenders of Al Aqsa in the southern Gaza The statement named one of those hit as Mahmoud El Anin, a member of a terror group sponsored by Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Anin was reported to have been in the final stages of preparing to carry out a terror attack against Israeli civilians. He had also been involved in attempted terror attacks that included smuggling explosive devices into Israel. The other man was named as Ashraf Mahmoud Salah who the IDF said had previously admitted to transferring two terrorists into Egypt in order to carry out a suicide attack in Israel. A Hamas statement said the so called 'martyrs' were carrying out a routine mission of monitoring and securing the border between Gaza and Egypt. The IDF said that two rockets had been fired into Israel earlier in the day causing no injuries or damage.
