PM Netanyahu marks 9-11 anniversary
At the opening of the weekly cabinet meeting Sunday morning, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu marked the 10th anniversary of the 9-11 terror attacks on the United States, saying that "we must remember that we are prone to ongoing terror attacks throughout the globe" The Israeli prime minister added that "extremist Islam, joined together with Iran, threatens all of us, the stability of the Middle East, Europe and the United States, and the threat will be infinitely greater," said Netanyahu, "if the extremists receive the ultimate weapon." Deputy foreign minister DannyAyalon said at a ceremony at a September 11th memorial in Jerusalem that this date united Israel and the US. Also attending the ceremony was US ambassador Dan Shapiro and family members of several of those killed in the attacks.(20,50)
