President Peres expresses Israel's solidarity with US on 10th anniversary

           In a letter to President Obama President Shimon Peres said in his name and that of the people of Israel he wanted to express solidarity with the American peopole and the bereaved families in this hour of rememberance. He wrote that September 11th was the epitome of evil and the symbol of courage of the American people. He said September 11th also served as a milestone in the collective war against terror, headed by the US withthe aim of building a better and safer world. President Peres added that in its aftermatch America waged an uncompromising war on terror, culminating in the death of Osama bin Laden and freeing the world of this scourge that threatened humanity without losing sight of the freedom and teh rights of man. He concluded that Israel trusts President Obama's leadership, and thankful for his outstanding contribution in saving the lives of the members of Israel's delgation in Egypt at the most crucial moment.
